Event - Cancelled - Focused Trade Mission to New Zealand

Date: June 21-23, 2020

Connect and Drive Sales
New Zealand's imports of consumer-oriented food products have trended upward over the past several years. Australia is the leading supplier with a 35% market share, followed by the U.S. at 14%, and China at 4.6%. In 2017, U.S. consumer-oriented food exports reached US$395.4 million, up from US$193 million in 2010. High quality, price competitive products with innovative packaging and unique features tend to do well in the New Zealand market.

In 2018 U.S. exports of agricultural products to New Zealand have reached US$475.6 million, an increase of 20% over 2017. US$325 or about 68% were of the consumer oriented variety. The U.S. exported US$293.7 million of processed food products to New Zealand in 2018, growth of 10% and close to 62% of the agricultural total.
